Specialized Clinics

At Onyx Therapeutics, we offer focused support for some of life’s most important transitions, relationships, and challenges. Our specialized clinics bring together therapists with experience in specific areas of mental health, making it easier to find the right support for you and your family.

Depending on the clinic, support may include individual or couples psychotherapy, group therapy, psychoeducational workshops, and other specialized programs designed to provide connection, education, and practical tools alongside therapy.

Explore our specialized clinics below to learn more about the support available. If you're still not sure which option is right for you, reach out to our team! We’re always happy to help guide you toward the support that best fits your needs.

Our Perinatal Mental Health Clinic offers a warm, judgment-free space for individuals and couples navigating the emotional and mental health challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Our therapists have experience supporting clients through fertility journeys, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, postpartum adjustment, parenting transitions, and the many changes that come with becoming a parent. Alongside individual and couples psychotherapy, the clinic offers opportunities for education, connection, and community through groups, workshops, and other specialized supports designed to help you feel informed, supported, and less alone during this important transition.

Our clinic offers a range of supports for this important transition, including:

Mom’s Support Group

Support group for postpartum mothers with infants aged 0–8 months. This is a 6-week program, with one hour weekly sessions, offered seasonally.

Mothers are welcome to attend with their baby or on their own—whatever feels most supportive for them.

Individual Psychotherapy

Individual perinatal mental health support offered in-office or virtually throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood.

Walk & Talk Therapy

A unique approach to therapy that combines movement, fresh air, and therapeutic support. Sessions take place outdoors in the community and are stroller-friendly.

Preparing for Postpartum Psychoeducational Workshops

Workshops designed to help expecting individuals and couples prepare for the emotional and mental health challenges of the postpartum period.
Connect with other expecting parents while gaining practical knowledge and tools to help you feel informed and supported as you enter early parenthood.

Self-Compassion Retreat for Mothers

A one-day retreat designed to give pregnant, postpartum or parenting women space to pause, reconnect and care for themselves. Through psychoeducation, guided self-compassion practices, meaningful conversation and restorative self-care, participants will explore the nervous system, emotional overwhelm, the inner critic and the pressures of motherhood. The retreat offers an opportunity to connect with other mothers, learn practical tools for navigating stress and "mom guilt", and step away from the demands of everyday life with a greater sense of self-compassion, confidence , and a renewed sense of connection.

Our Child & Youth Mental Health Clinic offers a supportive, welcoming space for children, teens, and families navigating emotional, social, behavioural, and developmental challenges. Our therapists have experience supporting young people through anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, school and social challenges, family changes, ADHD and neurodiversity, grief, and other life transitions. We also recognize that supporting a child often means supporting the people around them, with opportunities for parent and family support alongside individual therapy. Our goal is to help children and youth feel understood, build confidence and coping skills, and develop the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges.
